Millwood, Inc. in La Vergne, TN is seeking a FT general laborer to assist with hands-on physical labor and operate machinery, contributing to streamlined production and high customer satisfaction.

Starting pay is $15/hr plus production-based bonus. Work schedule is Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM; must pass a drug test and be able to lift 50 lbs and stand all shift. Relocation to or reliable commute to La Vergne required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret imperial system.
• Pneumatic nailer training completed.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Related experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety guidelines and procedures, including OSHA requirements.
• Inspect and repair pallets for defects and ensure quality.
• Lift and carry materials as needed.
• Store materials safely to conserve space and comply with procedures.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Sort and stack pallets by size and grade using APC methods.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Plant Manager and floor supervisors

Position summary:

Assisting with hands-on physical labor and the operation of machinery with the goal of streamlining company production and the upkeep of customer satisfaction

Duties include:

• Must observe all safety guidelines and protocol.
• Inspects and repairs pallets for defects including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missingcomponents, nail defects, debris, and contamination. Correct defects that do not meetspecification criteria.
• Lift and carry materials as needed
• Ensure materials and products are properly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Sort and stack pallets and materials by size and grade utilizing APC methods
• Complete and turn in all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements.
• Clean and maintain all responsible work areas in an organized manner.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
