Millwood Inc. in Apple Creek, Ohio is hiring a Pallet Assembly/General Labor worker to support productive operations. You will perform hands-on tasks, operate machinery as needed, and help maintain a safe, clean work environment to satisfy customers.

Starting pay is up to $16 per hour with a Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule. Candidates must be 18+, pass a drug test, and be able to lift 50 lbs. Relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret imperial measurements.
• Completion of pneumatic nailer training.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Related experience is preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Inspect and repair pallets for defects and correct as needed.
• Lift and carry materials as required.
• Store materials to conserve space and follow safety procedures.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Sort and stack pallets by size and grade using APC methods.
• Complete and submit all required documentation promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position summary:

The Pallet Assembly/General Labor position is essential for maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our operations. This role involves a variety of tasks that support the overall workflow, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will contribute to a safe and organized work environment, which is crucial for the well-being of all team members. By performing physical tasks and assisting skilled workers, the General Laborer plays a vital role in the success of our projects. Ultimately, this position is key to delivering quality results that meet our clients' expectations.

Duties include:

• Must observe all safety guidelines and protocol.
• Inspects and repairs pallets for defects including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missingcomponents, nail defects, debris, and contamination. Correct defects that do not meetspecification criteria.
• Lift and carry materials as needed
• Ensure materials and products are properly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
• Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
• Sort and stack pallets and materials by size and grade utilizing APC methods
• Complete and turn in all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements.
• Clean and maintain all responsible work areas in an organized manner.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
