About the Role

We are seeking a General Labor, Bakery Production team member to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a General Labor, Bakery Production team member, you will support bakery production operations by ensuring dough and bread products are handled according to specification while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Your contributions help ensure product quality, food safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the bakery.

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Support bakery production operations to ensure products are produced according to specifications.
• Maintain sanitation standards for equipment, workstations, and production areas.
• Monitor production processes and report operational, quality, or safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, quality assurance, and workplace safety requirements.
• Identify and communicate product quality or contamination risks.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and waste reduction.
• Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while supporting team goals.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic verbal and written English communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and stooping.
• Ability to lift and dump up to 50 pounds and safely handle heavier loads with assistance from co-workers.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, production, food processing, or packaging environment.
• Prior bakery or food manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Experience participating in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Experience working with production equipment and reporting operational concerns.
