Job summary

Gates Albert, Inc. seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support building maintenance and Davenport multi-spindle screw machines. Training is provided to enhance knowledge of machine maintenance and facilities upkeep.

Responsibilities include oil reclamation, cleaning, chip removal, safe operation, and adherence to safety policies. Minimum one year factory experience required; teamwork and problem solving encouraged.

Qualifications

• One year factory related experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems in area of responsibility.
• Ability to adhere to safety rules, policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reclaims cutting and lubricating oils from machines and processes oil through separators.
• Removes chips and shavings from machine surfaces and cleans with rag/brush/air hose.
• Cleans around work areas using broom and shovel.
• Separates metal shavings and scrap materials and sorts into bins.
• May remove burrs or excess metal from machined parts using grinders and files.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

About the job: Assists with Building Maintenance and Production Equipment on Davenport multi-spindle screw machines.

Opportunities for growth: Training is provided to further the knowledge of building and machine maintenance.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Reclaims cutting and lubricating oils from machines by pumping oil from machine reservoir into barrel, dumping oil from barrel into centrifugal separator that removes chips and dirt from oil, and drains clean oil from separator into containers.
• Removes chips and shavings from surfaces of machines, using oil line, brush, rag, or air hose, and wipes surfaces of machines with rag to remove excess oil.
• Cleans around work areas, using broom and shovel.
• Separates metal shavings, chips, and scrap materials from trash and places them in bins.
• May remove burrs or excess metal from machined parts, using drill press, files, sandpaper, emery cloth, or grinding machine.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Minimum Experience: One year factory related experience .
