Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Magna, Utah is seeking a General Labor associate to safely handle lumber products, verify material against customer requirements, and support production. You will move, stack, label, and secure items, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

This role requires attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to work at least 18 years old. No previous experience is required, though lumber/manufacturing background is welcome, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Labels material based on type, size, and count.
• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Records production on production sheets.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
