SRI Ohio is seeking a General Laborer to support bottling operations by feeding, cleaning, wrapping, packing and moving bottles and cases to assist the workflow. Responsibilities

• Move bottles and/or cases using training applications, visual management tools, databases, processes, procedures and systems.

• Assist in evaluating modifications to processes to ensure customer satisfaction while mitigating risk.
• Operate pallet jack and pallet wrapper; wrap pallets and prepare for tagging; keep area clean and orderly.
• Participate in production rotations and other tasks as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

The General Laborer position is responsible for the feeding, cleaning, wrapping, packing, stacking, and moving of bottles/bottle cases as well as skids to assist in the workflow of bottle decoration. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral are required to effectively communicate observations and inefficiencies. The candidate will also be expected to exhibit the ability to effectively communicate operational trend issues and/or concerns to the appropriate leaders, including department leaders and operational team members in a timely manner.

The General Laborer should be able to adapt to a changing work environment that may/may not include balancing multiple projects and effectively manage their time to meet deadlines and commitments of the department. The position does require a careful attention to detail, commitment to a high quality of work and the ability to follow instructions.

Perform bottle(s) and/or case movements using SRI Ohio Inc. key training applications, visual management tools, databases, processes, procedures and systems.

Work independently to achieve objectives while performing periodic assessments, as well as work as a team to both communicate and improve identified inefficiencies.

Work with the departmental leadership and team members in assessing modifications of processes or procedures to ensure customer satisfaction is being upheld while mitigating risk. Identify process improvements for key business areas.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to ability to work in both an independent capacity as well as a collaborative environment with other team members, the shadowing and possible training of other employees (as needed), operate a pallet jack, pallet wrapper, following written procedures/work instructions, keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly, feeding bottles to production lines, stacking bottles and/or boxes on pallets, hand-packing bottles into boxes, wrapping pallets in preparation for pallet tagging, cleaning bottles/screen frames/equipment, participation in Operations rotations and cross training function, as well as participating in other production operations as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

All necessary and/or required training will be administered by the appropriate SRI Ohio Inc. key personnel and training records will be kept on file for verification and validation purposes.
