Summary

Perform various functions in the department to support production lean manufacturing needs by rotating into each position on the production line. Correctly packaging product into shippers, check label registration and confirm quality of finished goods as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Behavior: Exhibit team player qualities of cooperation and coordination; professional interaction in all business contacts, all day, every day. Possess a sense of energy and initiative. Be pro‑active.
  • Attendance: Present for work when scheduled is a mandatory function.
  • Safety & Quality: Operates the packaging equipment with respect to safety and report any unsafe acts from teammates or unsafe conditions to Supervisor/Manager. As an employee owner, monitors Safety for all team members and escalates as required.
  • Conducts on‑going quality checks as required to ensure proper torque, fill levels and overall quality of product is maintained.
  • Follows GMP practices and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Checks the fill level for every stem without logging into scale software.
  • Understands and can explain the label claim.
  • Properly attaches the Pallet ID label on the pallet. (NOTE: Pallet ID labels should not be removed from pallets after they have been applied to the pallet). Perform 5s and OEE concept in cell (department) structure.
  • Builds Finished Goods pallet pattern and stack finished goods to correctly meet this pattern.
  • Start and stops filler safely.
  • Understands all buttons and functions on the case sealer.
  • Acts as a team member with an ownership mentality to ensure the line runs safely.
  • Place empty bottles on line.
  • Position bulk bottles and caps from light to moderate weight boxes into hopper.
  • Performs other routine tasks on associated line.
  • Verify accuracy of the Pallet ID Labels. Provide a pallet count for each SKU produced maintaining communication with team members.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Work Environment

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Worker exposed to inside conditions with protection from weather but not temperature changes. Worker exposed to noise causing shouting in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. Worker exposed to physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts. Worker occasionally exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes. Standing, bending, twisting with constant movement throughout workday.
