Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Labor associate to safely handle lumber products, verify material meets requirements, and maintain orderly work areas. You will move, stack, label, and tag materials, use staple guns and banding tools, and ensure accurate quantities meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to company policy, and active participation in CI and safety programs. Requires 18+ and basic math; HS diploma preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
  • Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
  • Label material with type, size, and count, and apply tags before/after treating/production.
  • Utilize staple gun and banding tools to secure materials and load as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and report inventory discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
  • Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
