Job summary

Louisiana Delta Community College seeks a Manager of General Industry Programs to plan, coordinate, supervise, and deliver short-term workforce training in general industry, manufacturing, and related areas. This role designs and delivers instruction, manages facilities and equipment, and supervises instructors to meet OSHA and college standards.

The position supports workforce development by aligning programs with regional industry demand, coordinating with contractors, and promoting student

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Business, Logistics, Workforce Development or related field.
• Substantive leadership experience is required for this position.
• Excellent public relations, organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support instructional staff and adjuncts for general industry, production, logistics, and related programs.
• Coordinate scheduling, delivery, and evaluation of manufacturing, production, industrial safety, logistics, and other workforce training programs.
• Develop, update, and maintain curriculum for manufacturing, production, industrial safety, logistics, and other programs.
• Maintain laboratories, training facilities, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Teach classroom, laboratory, and hands-on courses in construction and fiber optics as needed.
