Job summary

FXI in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Manufacturing Associate to assemble, package and load fabricated parts in a fast-paced production environment. You will read work orders, apply adhesives or assemble components to customer specifications, and maintain daily 5S and safety practices on the shop floor.

The role requires reading measuring devices, standing for long periods, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, pack, load, and fabricate parts per orders.
• Read and follow work orders and customer specifications.

Position Purpose:

Assembles, packs, loads, fabricates parts and /or unloads materials

Essential duties:

• Specific tasks may include: wrapping, baling, packaging, press operation, sewing, and housekeeping
• Reads and understands work orders to accurately apply adhesive, assemble and pack fabricated parts according to customer specifications
• Understands and follows written and/or verbal instructions regarding customer specifications
• Verifies conformance to specifications using a tape measure.
• Understands and follows written and/or verbal direction from Group Leads
• Maintains daily 5s in general area of responsibility
• Follow 5s and safety policies and procedures
• Other duties, as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, skills, experience:

• Able to read, write and speak English
• Able to lift and carry 50lbs
• Able to stand and walk for 8 hours
• Able to read measuring devices

Preferred Education / Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
