Job summary

Greenleaf Hospitality Group is seeking a General Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join a hands-on, mentor-led training program. The role pairs on-the-job maintenance with a 2.5-year path through KVCC to earn a Facilities Maintenance Technician certification.

You'll assist in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and grounds tasks, while learning to manage work orders and safety standards. This full-time apprenticeship develops practical skills for a diverse property portfolio.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in building maintenance or equivalent preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training provided through local community college programs.
• Fundamental knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexibly within a team and adapt to various tasks.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building support systems.
• Support in maintaining exterior and interior areas, including painting, minor carpentry, and landscaping.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly, ensuring high customer service standards.
• Learn to perform inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to uphold facility standards.
• Learning the computer skills and software programs that are used to manage maintenance work order schedules, environmental controls and other Google platform related applications.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and external contractors on various projects with the mentor’s guidance..
• Record hours worked on tasks under the mentor's approval, ensuring that work performed aligns with required training areas.
• Engage actively in the community college training program (KVCC), applying learned skills to work assignments.

We're looking for a motivated General Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join the Greenleaf Hospitality Group (GHG) team in an apprenticeship training program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands‑on maintenance skills while working with experienced mentors and also undertaking a specialized training program through a local community college. • Apply course learning to daily maintenance tasks.
• Successfully pass all Require Training Courses.
• Meet all required “On The Job” hours required for the program.
