Job summary

Greenleaf Hospitality Group is seeking a motivated General Maintenance Technician Apprentice for a part-time, two-and-a-half-year training program. You will gain hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds maintenance while earning a certification as a Facilities Maintenance Technician.

You will learn to manage work orders, collaborate with mentors and contractors, and complete required coursework through KVCC while logging hours and applying skills to real tasks.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in building maintenance or equivalent preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training provided through local community college programs.
• Fundamental knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexibly within a team and adapt to various tasks.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Support exterior and interior maintenance including painting, minor carpentry, and landscaping.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly with high customer service standards.
• Learn inspections and preventative maintenance to uphold facility standards.
• Learn to use maintenance management software and Google tools for work orders.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and external contractors under mentorship.
• Record hours worked under mentor’s approval and apply training.
