Greenleaf Hospitality Group's Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo is seeking a Master Maintenance Technician to lead and perform preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and controls. You will ensure reliable operations in a hospitality setting.

You’ll train staff and mentor an Apprentice, coordinate with vendors, access CMMS, and uphold safety standards while contributing to overall facility performance. Competitive benefits accompany this full-time role.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of education or training in HVAC, or an Associate’s Degree in facilities maintenance trades.
  • 5+ years experience in maintenance or repair in a commercial/industrial setting (HVAC preferred).
  • Ability to plan, track, and document preventive maintenance tasks and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team and/or perform duties including training staff and mentoring an Apprentice.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
  • Repair and maintain mechanical systems for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Monitor HVAC and refrigeration systems; assist with kitchen cooling systems as needed.
  • Coordinate with contractors/vendors and monitor project costs when needed.
  • Access building management software and CMMS for work orders; track and close tasks.
  • Maintain records and reports; ensure safety procedures are followed.

Our Facilities & Maintenance Team values and recognizes your contributions, making this an exciting and fulfilling career choice.# **What You’ll Be Doing**Leading a team and/or perform some or all of the duties listed below:* Training staff in department on areas of expertise which includes mentoring an Apprentice.* Performing preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and control systems and related components.* Repairing and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems and components for safety, reliability and efficiency.* Helping the team maintain services and monitor operation of HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, refrigeration and/or cooling systems. (HVAC and refrigeration systems operation for general areas and kitchens.)* Identifying repair and maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors; may participate in estimates and evaluations of project costs; monitoring work of vendors and/or contractors.* Accessing and making adjustments to computerized control systems for the building management systems.
