Page Executive is seeking a General Counsel to oversee legal matters for a growing US retail footprint, based at the Charlotte, NC HQ. The role requires JD and active US bar, with experience in multi-state leasing, contracts, and cross-border collaboration with global teams.

You will guide senior leadership on strategic legal matters, manage external counsel, oversee governance, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting business objectives.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and US state bar in good standing.
• Experience in the retail industry or leasing work, including store contracts, across multiple states.
• Experience working with international brands and collaborating with senior stakeholders and legal counterparts worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to the company and senior leadership on business and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the retail sector.
• Manage relationships with external counsel as needed.
• Develop strategies to mitigate legal risks.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations.
• Oversee corporate governance and maintain proper legal documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on legal matters and company policies.
