Slate Medicines, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, is seeking a General Counsel to lead the legal function during its transition to a public company. You will partner with the CEO, leadership team, and the Board to establish robust governance, manage outside counsel, and oversee risk across contracts, compliance, and strategic transactions.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong business acumen, and experience in SEC reporting, FDA regulation, and IP strategy as the company scales

Qualifications

• JD and bar eligibility.
• Strong track record negotiating complex clinical and commercial agreements (CTAs, CROs, CDMOs).
• Experience with SEC reporting, corporate governance, and public company readiness.

Responsabilités

• Serve as chief legal advisor to CEO, executive team, and Board on governance, compliance, and public company matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate core agreements including CTAs, CRO/CDMO contracts, licensing and partnerships.
• Oversee licensing, M&A due diligence, and IP strategy; manage outside counsel and budget.
