Job summary

Firecrawl is seeking a General Counsel to lead all legal, regulatory, and compliance work from our SF HQ. You will shape positions on data access, AI, licensing, and governance while guiding a growing in-house team and managing outside counsel.

You will partner with the founders on financings, board matters, and strategic risk, owning the legal budget and policy execution across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of legal experience, including time running or helping run legal in-house at a venture-backed technology company.
• Ability to set and defend positions with regulators, customers, and partners.
• Experience building and leading a legal team and working cross-functionally with product and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set and defend Firecrawl's legal strategy and risk posture across data, privacy, IP, and regulatory matters.
• Manage outside counsel and the legal budget; act as corporate secretary.
• Lead privacy, security, and compliance initiatives with the CTO; oversee governance and board matters.
