Job summary

Undisclosed seeks an experienced General Counsel in Los Angeles to lead the in-house legal function. This hands-on, in-person role partners with executive leadership on a broad range of matters, with emphasis on litigation and risk management.

The GC will oversee outside counsel, develop litigation strategy, advise on employment, commercial, regulatory, and corporate issues, and draft and negotiate contracts to keep the business compliant and secure.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Experience advising businesses operating in California.
• Experience managing outside counsel, litigation strategy, and complex matters.
• Strong business judgment balancing legal risk and operational objectives.
• Hands-on, fast-paced environment and interaction with senior executives.

A well-established, growing professional service industry company with more than 500 employees is seeking an experienced General Counsel to serve as the organization’s senior in-house legal leader.

Based in Los Angeles, this is a hands-on, in-person role for an attorney who can provide practical legal guidance in a fast-paced business environment. The General Counsel will partner closely with executive leadership and oversee a broad range of legal matters, with a particular emphasis on litigation and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the company’s primary legal advisor and partner to executive leadership
• Manage and oversee litigation, disputes, claims, and outside counsel
• Develop litigation strategy and proactively identify and mitigate legal risk
• Advise on employment, commercial, regulatory, and general corporate matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other business agreements
• Provide practical guidance to leadership on day-to-day legal and operational issues
• Develop and maintain policies and processes designed to reduce legal exposure
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and ensure effective management of legal spend

Qualifications
