Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking a General Contracting Project Manager Summer 2027 Intern to assist with scheduling, budgeting, and coordination across multiple projects. You will work alongside Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather updates and maintain project documentation.

The role offers hands-on exposure to site activities, safety practices, and quality control, with opportunities to participate in meetings and site visits.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project scheduling, coordination, budgets, progress reports, and weekly project schedules.
• Support quantity reporting, cost tracking, labor budgets, and material scheduling.
• Communicate with Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain project updates.
• Assist with material requisitions, project documentation, and general project administration.
• Participate in jobsite visits and observe construction activities, progress, and quality.
• Assist with addressing project delays, weather impacts, and other jobsite challenges.
• Support site safety efforts and participate in owner, subcontractor, and project meetings.
• Assist with quality control and building positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and project team members.
