Job summary

University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center (UM SJMC) in Towson, MD, seeks a BE/BC General Cardiologist to join its hospital-based cardiology group. The team consists of 13 cardiologists, providing outpatient services and inpatient cardiology consultations at this CMS 5‑Star, Leapfrog Grade A hospital.

Ideal candidates will be Echo-boarded and certified to perform TEEs. The hospital is the only facility in Baltimore County capable of performing heart surgery, offering strong compensation,

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of a cardiovascular disease fellowship.
• Active or eligible for state medical license and DEA registration.
• BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide BE/BC general cardiology services in a hospital setting.
• Collaborate with a 13-member cardiology team for outpatient and inpatient care.
• Perform and interpret echocardiograms and related cardiovascular procedures as needed.
