Job summary

University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, MD is seeking a BE/BC General Cardiologist to join our hospital-based cardiology team. The successful candidate will participate in both outpatient services and inpatient cardiology consultations.

The ideal candidate will be echo-boarded and certified to perform TEEs, contributing to a patient-centered and collaborative care model within the UMMS system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of a cardiovascular disease fellowship.
• Active or eligible for state medical license; DEA registration; BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered outpatient services and inpatient cardiology consultations.
• Collaborate within the hospital-based cardiology group.
• Possibly perform echocardiography; echo-boarded and TEEs as applicable.

Job Specifics

• Group comprised of 10 General Cardiologists, 2 interventional cardiologists, and 1 Electrophysiologists
• Patient-centered outpatient services and inpatient cardiology consultations
• Only hospital in Baltimore County that can do Heart Surgery
• Employed by University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Group (UM SJMG)
• Ideal candidate will be Echo-boarded and certified to perform TEE's.
