Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a General Assembly Specialist I on the 2nd shift to work onsite.

You will perform assembly of pins, plugs, sleeves, rings, and stops, taking measurements to achieve exacting tolerances and preparing parts according to Moog specifications. The role requires a High School diploma or GED (preferred), at least 1 year of experience in a mechanically inclined position, and enrollment in the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program due to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal and written English instructions.
• At least 1 year of experience in a mechanically inclined role.
• Enrollment in FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required due to FAA SSW rules.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pins, plugs, sleeves, rings with measurements to meet tolerances on finished products.
• Prepare parts and mix compounds per Moog specifications.
• Operate Hydraulic Press and Bridgeport Mill and other listed equipment.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 1 year experience in a position which requires high levels of mechanical inclination
• In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

As a General Assembly Specialist I, you will

• Perform different assembly of pins, plugs, sleeves, rings, stops, etc. Requiring measurements and calculations to achieve exacting tolerances on finished products.
• Will prepare parts, mix compounds, to conform to Moog requirements.
• Perform different operations on the following machines and equipment: Hydraulic Press, Bridgeport Mill

Salary Range Transparency

Buffalo, NY $22.00-27.00 Hourly
