Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a General Assembly Specialist I (2nd Shift) to perform assembly of components and ensure tight tolerances on finished products. The role is onsite in Buffalo, and the candidate must meet FAA program requirements due to Safety Sensitive Work.

At least one year of mechanical experience and basic math skills are expected. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a 2nd/3rd shift 10% differential pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and follow all verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 1 year experience in a role requiring mechanical inclination.
• Enrollment in FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pins, plugs, sleeves, rings, stops, etc., and perform measurements to meet exacting tolerances.
• Prepare parts and mix compounds to Moog specifications.
• Operate machinery including Hydraulic Press and Bridgeport Mill.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 1 year experience in a position which requires high levels of mechanical inclination
• In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

As a General Assembly Specialist I, You Will

• Perform different assembly of pins, plugs, sleeves, rings, stops, etc. Requiring measurements and calculations to achieve exacting tolerances on finished products.
• Will prepare parts, mix compounds, to conform to Moog requirements.
• Perform different operations on the following machines and equipment: Hydraulic Press, Bridgeport Mill
