Job summary

Rimland Services NFP in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a General Accountant to support the Accounting Manager and COO. You will review financial statements, manage schedules, and handle accounting entries using QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and monthly billings. Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree, or comparable, in Accounting or Finance.
• 1 - 3 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of financial statements.
• Ability to review open work and produce timely and accurate records.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
• Applicants must be presently legally authorized to work in the United States for any U.S employer.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
• Preparing financial statements.
• Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.
• Entering into QuickBooks Online, vendor invoices as received and other entries as necessary.
• Coordinate with audit professionals in year-end audit reporting.
• Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis and continually look to improve existing procedures.
• Prepare and submit monthly billings for services provided by Rimland.
