THE MISSION:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Generac Install and Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Generac generator systems. You will work directly with customers to ensure their systems operate efficiently and reliably, providing peace of mind through excellent service and technical expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Assist in the installation and servicing of Generac generators, working toward becoming a self-sufficient lead technician.
  2. Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical issues related to Generac generator systems.
  3. Perform all aspects of electrical installation with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with code requirements for installation sites to achieve approved final electrical inspections.
  4. Utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities to identify and calculate code requirements effectively.
  5. Demonstrate proven experience as an electrician with a deep understanding of electrical systems.
  6. Conduct scheduled services and repairs on generators, including changing air filters, oil, checking battery levels, and spark plugs.
  7. Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting for customers' generators, including both DC and AC voltage equipment.
  8. Work independently or as part of a small team, utilizing a work vehicle to service residential and commercial standby generators.
  9. Exhibit experience or a willingness to learn about small engine maintenance, repairs, and basic electrical knowledge.
  10. Maintain high ethical standards and integrity in all work practices.
  11. Follow established procedures to ensure efficient and professional installations and repairs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in generator installation/service or related electrical/mechanical fields (required)
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • License: Valid Driver's License (Required)
