Lilly in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a Labeling and Packaging Scientist – TS/MS to help design, transfer and startup gene therapy labeling and packaging operations at the LP2 site. The role emphasizes technical leadership, process validation, tech transfer, and documentation control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Collaborate across global packaging teams, lead risk assessments, support start-up activities, and troubleshoot deviations to ensure compliant processes.

Qualifications

• B.S. engineering, packaging science, or related field.
• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing organization focusing on labeling and packaging.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Understand principles of labeling and packaging for drug products and their interactions.
• Provide technical oversight for labeling and packaging materials.
• Lead technical evaluations and root cause analyses.
• Lead risk assessments of labeling and packaging operations.
• Support start-up activities (tech transfer, process validation).
• Prepare and review technical documents (change controls, validations, SOPs).
• Ensure accurate instructions describe processes and control strategies.
