Job summary

Morgan Stanley's Parametric team seeks a Principal Software Engineer, AI Platform, to lead AI engineering efforts for GenAI platform development. You will translate business problems into scalable AI solutions, supervise engineers, and ensure robust, compliant implementations.

You will drive end-to-end GenAI lifecycle activities, from problem framing to evaluation and deployment, leveraging modern cloud and data practices. Hybrid work mix available in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/ML or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of hands-on OO design and development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Python software design and development.
• 3+ years managing software development teams and mentorship.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to business users.
• Experience with AI lifecycle: framing, data, evaluation, and deployment.
• Proficiency with LLM APIs and frameworks (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.).
• Experience with AWS and microservice architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership by managing a team of engineers.
• Drive vision and strategy with strong leadership and project management.
• Lead GenAI development projects end-to-end from requirements to deployment.
• Build relationships with business users and engineering teams; translate needs.
• Design and maintain platform-level GenAI solutions and APIs.
• Develop GenAI applications using prompt engineering and RAG pipelines.
