Job summary

Capital One is hiring an AI Engineer 5 to help build responsible and scalable AI systems. You will partner with engineers, researchers, PMs, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products that transform how associates work and how customers interact with Capital One.

You will design, develop, and support AI software components, including foundation model training, LLM inference, and agentic workflows, leveraging AWS, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI or related field.
• 6+ years of experience developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including model training and inference.
• Architect and optimize multi-model orchestration pipelines and agentic workflows.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to governance and cost-performance reviews.
