Job summary

Fitch Group is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead GenAI, ML, DL and NLP initiatives from our New York office. This high-impact role requires driving AI strategy, building scalable data science frameworks, and collaborating with product teams to deliver AI-powered solutions.

You will mentor junior researchers, help set standards for governance, and advance innovative research including IP creation. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or master’s degree in computer science, data science, ML, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data science with Gen AI, DL, ML, NLP and LLMs.
• Proven track record of developing and deploying deep learning and NLP models in real-world applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build GenAI, ML, NLP models across the organization.
• Design, develop and deploy state-of-the-art ML models.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists and researchers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for AI-driven solutions.
• Contribute to IP creation (patents/publications).
