Fitch is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead Generative AI initiatives, develop GenAI frameworks, and mentor a team across the enterprise. The role spans AI governance, model deployment, and collaboration with product squads to integrate AI into Fitch’s data ecosystems.

The position offers exposure to cutting-edge ML techniques, a collaborative culture, and a hybrid work model with offices in Chicago or New York. A PhD or MS with 8+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or master’s degree in computer science, data science, ML, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data science with focus on generative AI, deep learning, NLP, and large language models.
• Proven track record of developing and deploying deep learning and NLP models.

Responsibilities

• Create standards and frameworks for GenAI data science models across enterprise.
• Design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art ML models leveraging deep learning and NLP.
• Lead AI initiatives, mentor junior data scientists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
