Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City, NJ, seeks an AI/ML Software Engineer III- Java/Python to join the Asset & Wealth Management Transformative AI Team. You will design and deliver trusted, scalable tech products across the firm while building AI-driven automation for our Private Bank initiative.

You will contribute to end-to-end architecture, data workflows, and production-grade code, ensuring security and operational stability within a large corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
• Experience building data pipelines for both structured and unstructured data processing.
• Experience in developing APIs and integrating NLP or LLM models into software applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement GenAI and Agentic AI solutions to enhance automation and decision-making processes.
• Design, deploy, and manage prompt-based models on LLMs for various NLP tasks in the financial services domain.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and data processing workflows for prompt engineering on LLMs utilizing cloud services for scalability and efficiency.
• Execute software solutions, designs, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
