Job summary

Databricks is seeking an AI Engineer - FDE to join the AI Forward Deployed Engineering team. You will build and productionize GenAI applications for customers, owning end-to-end deployments and advising across technology domains.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product and engineering, and opportunities to present at conferences and shape the product roadmap. Remote-friendly with Amsterdam proximity preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience building GenAI applications including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning, etc.
• Experience deploying production-grade GenAI applications with evaluation and optimization.
• Hands-on data science experience with pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.
• Experience building deployment pipelines on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Graduate degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field.
• Strong communication of technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Willing to travel 4–8 weeks between customer engagements.
• Familiarity with Databricks Intelligence Platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions leveraging latest Databricks AI research.
• Own production rollouts of GenAI applications for customers and internal use.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor across domains.
• Present at conferences and contribute to thought leadership.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence priorities and roadmap.
