Job summary

Databricks is seeking a seasoned AI engineer for its AI Forward Deployed Engineering team. This role can be remote in the U.S. and requires U.S.

citizenship with eligibility for a government secret clearance; occasional on-site work in the DC/MD/VA metro area is possible. You will develop GenAI solutions, own production rollouts, and advise customers while collaborating with product and engineering to shape the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Experience building GenAI applications, including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning, etc.
• Expertise deploying production-grade GenAI applications and evaluating/optimizing them.
• Extensive hands-on data science experience with tools like pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch.
• Experience deploying ML models on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Graduate degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative field.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Preferred: Databricks Intelligence Platform and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Willing to travel to see customers every 4-8 weeks.
