Job summary

Deloitte GPS team seeks a Databricks Forward Deployed Engineer to rapidly prototype GenAI-enabled solutions for government and public sector clients. Requirements include a CS/data/engineering degree, 2+ years in related roles, Databricks and CI/CD experience, and the ability to travel up to 50% in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Active US government security clearance (Secret).
• 2+ years of software, data, or analytics engineering.
• 1+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments.
• 1+ years of Databricks experience with data engineering, data science, or analytics.
• 1+ years leading project workstreams and translating business problems into AI solutions.
• 1+ years of CI/CD and DevOps in Databricks.
• Ability to travel 50% on average.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Embed with clients to identify business needs and translate GenAI use cases into solutions.
• Partner with leaders to align priorities and delivery.
• Lead working sessions to shape solutions and drive outcomes.
• Prototype and deliver AI solutions using industry expertise and emerging capabilities.
• Contribute within an FDE pod and mentor newer team members.
• Build AI-enabled solutions, agentic platforms, and scalable workflows.
