Job summary

Zions Bancorporation is seeking a Manager of AI Engineering & Generative AI Development to lead a team of AI engineers, oversee GenAI initiatives, and ensure secure, scalable delivery aligned with business goals.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on AI experience with LLMs, and close collaboration with Cloud Engineering and Enterprise Architecture. This is an in-office position at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of software engineering, architecture, and systems development.
• 3+ years in data science and AI (ML/Generative AI).
• Experience building and leading teams with strong stakeholder collaboration.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with containers; familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing AI engineering team.
• Oversee end-to-end GenAI/AI development lifecycle with secure, compliant architectures.
• Collaborate closely with Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and business leaders.
• Provide architectural and technical direction amid evolving GenAI landscape.
• Bridge between technical teams and business partners to deliver measurable outcomes.
