Job summary

Expert Technology Services seeks a senior AI/ML software engineer to design, develop, and deploy GenAI capabilities across cloud, edge, and on-prem environments. You will build LLM-powered features, integrate AI into smart building platforms, and shape scalable production architectures.

You will mentor engineers, promote AI best practices, and evaluate new AI tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring responsible use throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, data science, or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with modern development practices.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying ML solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and common AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building and integrating Generative AI and LLM solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and production deployment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and GenAI capabilities for cloud, edge, and on-prem environments.
• Create LLM-powered features such as operator copilots, intelligent alarm analysis, automated recommendations, and natural language interfaces.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing smart building products and platforms.
• Develop scalable inference and deployment architectures for production AI workloads.
• Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions.
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve model performance, reliability, and accuracy.
• Identify and implement AI-assisted developer tools to improve software delivery velocity.
• Leverage AI for enhanced code generation, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Establish and promote AI engineering best practices, standards, and governance.
• Mentor engineers on AI technologies, frameworks, and implementation strategies.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and recommend adoption opportunities.
• Champion responsible and practical use of AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
