Job summary

State Farm in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Technical Architect to define and drive the Hercules C3 platform architecture, including its AI-enabled capabilities. This rolePartner with product owners, engineering, and data teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions, establish standards, and guide governance.

You will lead end-to-end solution design, develop reusable architecture patterns, and drive modernization across C3 with PoCs and reference implementations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience delivering cloud solutions on AWS with architectural accountability.
• Proven expertise architecting modern, scalable, maintainable, and resilient solutions with agility.
• Experience designing CI/CD and operational excellence practices aligned to DevSecFinOps, SRE, and SLOs/SLIs.
• Proficiency with core technologies and languages such as Java, Python, React, and AWS services including: Compute/networking (Lambda, ECS/EKS, ROSA, VPC).
• Security and data governance practices (IAM least privilege, KMS encryption, secrets management, auditing/monitoring, PII handling).
• Experience with GenAI integration patterns, including RAG, tool/function calling, and structured outputs.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall architecture for the Hercules Cloud Contact Center (C3) platform and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Lead end-to-end solution design, establish technical standards, and drive modernization initiatives across C3.
• Develop reusable architecture patterns and reference implementations (API, event-driven, integration, security, observability, reliability).
• Drive API-first and event-driven architectures and cost-aware LLM usage.
• Provide mentorship and governance to ensure architectural quality across environments.
