Job summary

Citi in Mumbai seeks a Senior AI Engineer to lead GenAI-enabled automation across KYC Operations. This VP-equivalent role requires hands-on engineering leadership, secure and auditable AI solutions, and collaboration with risk, compliance, and technology teams.

You will own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production, establish engineering standards, and guide junior engineers while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational resilience in a banking environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in software or AI engineering.
• Experience with GenAI and enterprise AI in banking.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong risk, compliance, data privacy awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end GenAI and automation lifecycle.
• Analyze banking workflows to identify automation opportunities.
• Design LLM-powered workflows and agent systems.
• Prototype MVPs using leading LLM platforms.
• Ensure secure integration with enterprise systems.
• Establish engineering standards and governance.
• Mentor junior engineers and analysts.
