Job summary

Citi’s Banking Technology organization seeks a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions for Investment, Corporate, and Commercial Banking. You will work in agile squads on scalable agentic AI frameworks, leveraging multiple model providers and tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google APIs, Devin, GitHub Copilot) with MVP-driven delivery.

The role requires 6–10 years of software experience, 2+ years in AI, and a Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS/AI.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of AI concepts (knowledge representation, planning, multi-agent systems).
• Hands-on with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, MCPs, and agent frameworks (Google ADK).
• Practical experience with ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools: Devin, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy scalable agentic AI frameworks and generative AI solutions.
• Develop agentic AI systems leveraging multiple model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).
• Build full-stack AI apps with LLM-driven workflows and AI coding tools.
• Drive MVP-first, rapid-iteration delivery with experimentation and improvement.
• Define metrics, evaluation strategies, and feedback loops for AI performance.
• Research and integrate advances in agent-based and autonomous AI technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure AI solutions align with banking and financial services requirements.
