Job summary

Citi is seeking a hands-on Generative AI expert to drive Partner AI Development & Delivery and GenAI Model Governance from a technical-lead perspective in New York.

You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, Products, Technology, Model Risk, Fair Lending, and Legal to architect, build, and validate GenAI solutions while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in AI/ML, data science, or applied engineering roles within financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying Generative AI/LLM solutions in production.
• Experience supporting model risk management, regulatory remediation, and model governance processes.
• Experience with AI/ML model lifecycles, including tuning, evaluation, and upgrades.
• Familiarity with core banking data domains and credit card economics as they relate to data/AI use cases.

Responsibilities

• Design and build GenAI automation across banking ops, including call center IVR, agent assist, and collections.
• Build and maintain enterprise GenAI foundations, including LLM fine-tuning pipelines and semantic layers.
• Own AI solution lifecycle from prototyping to production for high-priority use cases.
• Develop AI tooling to improve analytics workflows and modeling speed.
• Provide hands-on support across a GenAI model portfolio and governance documentation.
