Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a GenAI Automation Architect to lead AI-powered quality engineering transformation in a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC. You will drive adoption of GenAI and agentic AI across QE, defining roadmaps, governance, and value metrics.

You will mentor distributed teams, design AI agents for test generation and automation, and partner with data scientists, AI specialists, and stakeholders to deliver innovative QA solutions with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 16+ years in Quality Engineering, test architecture, automation, and large-scale programs.
• Hands-on GenAI and Agentic AI experience including prompt engineering, RAG, AI-assisted testing.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Selenium, Playwright, API automation, and scalable test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of modern AI ecosystems like Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, Copilot, Claude, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience defining QE strategies, automation roadmaps, governance, and leading global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation of QE practices with GenAI-powered automation and AI-assisted testing solutions.
• Design and implement intelligent AI agents for test case generation, automation development, and defect analysis.
• Architect enterprise-scale GenAI and agentic AI solutions leveraging leading AI platforms and automation technologies.
• Define the AI-driven QE roadmap, governance, responsible AI practices, and value realization metrics.
• Mentor engineering and QA teams fostering an AI-first culture of innovation and delivery excellence.
