Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Gen AI Developer to join our hybrid team in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on agentic and generative AI, security automation, and CI/CD integration to build autonomous AI agents that enhance security posture and developer efficiency.

The ideal candidate will design, implement, and operationalize automation tooling, integrate with enterprise systems, and collaborate across security and engineering teams to embed security into the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and at least one of JavaScript or Bash.
• Familiarity with a compiled language (Go, Rust, or Java).
• Hands-on automation tooling for security or developer efficiency.
• Strong CI/CD experience and security integration into workflows.
• Experience with GitHub automation and API integrations.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: debugging, testing, design.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and generative AI security best practices.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or comparable.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, cloud-native architectures, AI/ML dev.
• Experience performing security tooling POCs and addressing zero-days.
• Database knowledge: Oracle, SQL, NoSQL.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain security automation tooling to improve visibility and enforce best practices.
• Automate secure design reviews and integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and develop agentic AI systems that autonomously plan and execute tasks.
• Integrate agents with enterprise systems, APIs, data sources, and security platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to embed security in the SDLC.
• Research emerging threats to inform automation strategies.
• Support vulnerability management and attack surface reduction efforts.
• Advocate for secure engineering practices and controls.
