Job summary

Deloitte is seeking an AI Cloud Security Engineer, Consultant to design, build, and secure AI-enabled products and cloud environments. This role emphasizes AI security architecture, AI Zero Trust, secure AI software development, and vulnerability remediation across multiple cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/AI or related field; or equivalent work experience in software engineering, AI engineering, cybersecurity, cloud security, or technology consulting.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, cybersecurity, cloud security, or technology consulting with production delivery.
• Hands-on experience with AI platforms: Anthropic Claude, Claude Code, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock, or Vertex AI.
• Experience designing or implementing cloud security architecture, DevSecOps, AI security controls.
• Experience developing and deploying APIs, database-backed services, distributed systems, or cloud apps using Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, or Java, with testing, deployment, and observability.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average; limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Design secure architectures for generative AI, agentic AI, RAG, model serving, and AI-enabled apps; apply AI Zero Trust across models, agents, APIs, data, and runtimes.
• Embed security throughout the AI software development lifecycle, including threat modeling, security gates, versioning, evaluation datasets, and release criteria.
• Design and implement secure AI workloads across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and hybrid environments with landing zones, isolation, encryption, and policy controls.
• Build AI-assisted threat and vulnerability management across code, APIs, configurations, infrastructure, and AI workloads with human approval for high-impact fixes.
• Develop production AI security applications and platforms using full-stack engineering: UX, APIs, services, microservices, and observability; include AI test coverage.
• Collaborate with client engineering, security, product, data, risk, architecture, and exec stakeholders to drive discovery, workshops, and reference architectures.
