Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Gen AI Architect (Agentic AI & LLM) for a remote role in the United States. You will lead architecture and development of scalable AI-powered applications using LLMs, agentic frameworks, and workflow orchestration, coordinating across engineering, product, and business teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive best practices for scalability and security, and shape AI platform strategy from design to production.

Qualifications

• 12+ years designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven success delivering production-grade AI/LLM-powered solutions.
• Deep expertise with Generative AI and prompt engineering.
• Hands-on with agent development frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain).
• Strong full-stack background with ReactJS and Node.js.
• Define technical strategy, influence architecture decisions, mentor teams.
• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop enterprise-scale Generative AI apps using LLMs and RAG.
• Design Agentic AI solutions to support complex reasoning and tooling.
• Build scalable workflow orchestration with Temporal or similar tech.
• Define AI platform architectures including prompts, routing, observability.
• Establish evaluation and production rollout frameworks for AI solutions.
• Lead end-to-end product delivery from architecture to deployment.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote best practices in quality and security.
