Job summary

Bass Cat & Yar-Craft Boats is seeking a detail-oriented Gelcoat painter to apply gelcoat to boat hulls and decks, reading orders and matching colors. This second shift position runs 4:30 pm–1:30 am, Sunday night through Thursday night, with a shift differential and required respirator use.

Qualified candidates will face safety-sensitive duties, drug testing, and a team environment. Duties include spraying, area maintenance, tool use, and quality inspection to ensure parts meet standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet physical requirements such as heavy lifting, bending, twisting.
• Must be able to handle chemicals (gelcoat, fiberglass, and resin).
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must be able to follow directions from supervisors
• Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses, full- mask respirator, Tyvek protection suit.

Responsibilities

• Spray Gelcoat, check for proper millage, read orders, and apply corresponding color requested.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Work with a team to complete daily tasks.
• Must be able to wear full mask respirator.
• Be able to use small hand tools including gelcoat gun, razor knife and scissors etc.
• Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
