Job summary

PB Leiner in Davenport, IA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead gelatin production on a 4 on 4 off schedule (12 hours). Outside of covering other supervisor shifts, hours are Monday to Friday, 5:00pm - 1:00am.

You will drive safety, quality, and operational discipline, coordinating with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to meet targets. The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, excellence in communication, and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some secondary education is a plus.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift with a hands-on presence, setting expectations and holding team members accountable.
• Supervise 15–20 union production operators while ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Operations Leadership.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement; address production and equipment issues.
• Oversee maintenance coordination and shift handoffs with clear communication.
