Job summary

Community Council of Idaho is seeking an engaged HEP Instructor to teach and prepare students for the GED, develop lesson plans, assess progress, and support academic achievement. The role involves mentoring students, coordinating GED testing, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.

The position reports to the HEP Program Manager and is Regular Fulltime, Non-Exempt, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, vacation, and paid holidays.

Responsibilities

• Administer GED content, guidance, and preparation for the GED examination.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Establish and enforce rules and procedures for student behavior and expectations.
• Prepare for classes and keep written evidence of preparation (i.e., lesson plans).
• Assist with grading class work and homework.
• Coordinate GED testing with local institutions and support student orientation.
