Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly and production
• Extensive knowledge of gear assembly and schematics
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Experience with writing and updating work instructions
• Proficient with SAP or other business software
• Strong knowledge of quality control and testing
• Proficient with 5S and lean initiatives
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Forklift operation experience is required
• Ability to supervise and coordinate daily tasks

Responsibilities

• Communicate with production supervisor and gearing team to meet production goals
• Lead team activities and assign daily tasks
• Maintain production status reports and report to supervisor/manager
• Update work instructions for orders
• Coordinate with Application Engineering to verify BOM accuracy
• Confirm TOs after orders are picked
• Receive delivery notes and move parts to correct SAP locations; notify discrepancies
• Close out orders timely
• Perform quality inspections and document finished goods before shipping
• Verify parts quality and report bad parts to the quality team
• Maintain quality review and training program
• Champion safety culture and PPE compliance
• Ensure team cohesion and compliance with company policies
• Delegate and verify daily equipment operation checklists
• Support supervisor on projects to improve efficiency; Kaizen improvements
• Assign daily cleaning tasks (5S champion)
• Conduct daily team meetings to review performance and KPI
