Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a hands-on Lead Architect to define and deliver end-to-end solution architecture for complex client and internal initiatives. You will drive technical direction across teams, ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions, and guide delivery teams toward enterprise modernization goals.

The role remains hands-on, with participation in critical paths, design reviews, and prototyping; travel may be required for engagements kickoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 15+ years software development experience.
• 12+ years hands-on Java development experience.
• 5+ years of production workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 5+ years in a consultative, client-facing Lead Architect or Practice Architect role.

Responsibilities

• Advise client executive leadership on technical strategy, cloud economics, and modernization roadmaps.
• Assess legacy portfolios and define migration/rewriting strategies (Refactor, Replatform, Rearchitect) for GCP.
• Define and govern scalable, secure distributed architectures and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews and document key decisions and debt mitigation strategies.
• Write code for prototypes, PoCs, and reference implementations of modern cloud patterns.
