Job summary

Volto USA in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a GCP Cloud Engineer to architect and deliver scalable cloud workloads across Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run and storage services.

You will build IaC and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform and Cloud Build, enforce IAM and security controls, design resilient networking, and drive observability, data pipelines, and cost optimization while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering GCP workloads with Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, and storage.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, and security controls.
• Experience with network design in GCP (VPC, subnets, NAT, load balancers).
• Proficient in data pipelines with BigQuery, Dataflow/Beam, Composer, Dataproc.
• Seeks reliability via observability and incident practices.

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure as code and CI/CD with Terraform, Cloud Build, and Git.
• Implement identity and security controls (IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS) and guardrails.
• Design scalable networking (VPCs, subnets, NAT, load balancers, Private Service Connect).
• Establish observability and SRE practices (Cloud Monitoring, Logging, Error Reporting).
• Develop data platforms and pipelines with BigQuery, Dataflow/Beam, Composer, Dataproc.
• Automate operations with Cloud Functions/Run and APIs; drive reliability and cost optimization.
• Lead incident response and postmortems; mentor engineers and document standards.

Develop data platforms and pipelines with BigQuery, Dataflow/Beam, Composer/Airflow, Dataproc; batch and streaming.

Automate operations with Cloud Functions/Run and APIs; drive reliability, performance, and cost optimization.

Lead incident response and postmortems; mentor engineers and document standards.
