Job summary

VOLTO Consulting provides a Sunnyvale, CA based opportunity for a Senior Cloud Architect to design and deliver Google Cloud Platform workloads, spanning Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, and data services.

You will drive IaC using Terraform, establish guardrails, implement IAM and security controls, and shape scalable networking and observability. Mentorship of engineers and focus on reliability are core.

Qualifications

• Architect and deliver Google Cloud Platform workloads at scale.
• Build IaC and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform and Cloud Build.
• Implement robust IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS and org policies.
• Design scalable networking (VPC, subnets, NAT, load balancers).
• Establish observability, SRE practices, and alerting dashboards.
• Develop data platforms with BigQuery, Dataflow/Beam, Dataproc, Airflow.
• Mentor engineers and promote reliability, cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver GCP workloads using Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage.
• Lead IaC and CI/CD initiatives with Terraform and Cloud Build.
• Enforce security controls (IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, policies).
• Design networking and interconnectivity across projects and regions.
• Drive observability with Cloud Monitoring and Logging and SLIs/SLOs.
• Build data pipelines with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc and Airflow.
• Automate ops via Cloud Functions/Run and API integrations.
• Lead incident response and coach engineering teams.
